As part of our commission for Dublin’s tramway, we teamed up with computer scientists Conor Gallagher and David Monaghan from the CLARITY research centre to make the “Look Both Ways” App. Starting with the ideas behind four of our installations - Moving Still, Colour Pathways, Time Slice and Inverse Universe - Conor and Dave elaborated four functions adapted to the smartphone interface. After first building the app for Android phones and tablets, Conor taught himself C++ to rebuild the app for iOS, making it available for iPhone and iPad.
